Life Legacy
\r\nEllen Peabody 84 of Spearfish passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008 at her home. \nCremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. \nEllen C Peabody was born to Frank and Elva (Robins) Warner in McIntosh, SD on March 27, 1924. Ellen grew up in Buffalo, SD and attended school. She taught school for many years in South Dakota and Montana, then moved to North Dakota and received her Bachelors Degree from Dickinson State. She retired from teaching in 1989 after 45 years. She was married to Francis Larive in Deadwood, SD in 1943, divorced in 1946, married Freeman Peabody in 1948, divorced in 1959. In 1997 Ellen and her son moved to Arizona, with whom she lived with until her passing. \nShe is survived by son Francis Larive, sisters Opal Haraldsen of Denver, CO, Darlene Bennett of Red Lake Falls, MN, 8 grandchildren, Mindy (Josh) Olson, Julie Peabody, Mary Wolf, Tamara Kjos, Michael Curun, Tammy Wilkins, Clinton Larive, Patricia Jackson, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. \nShe was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Elva Warner, son Dallas Peabody, and infant son. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
