Dennis Korth, Sioux Falls, SD, died September 8, 2005, in Sioux Falls. He was 47.
Dennis Ray Korth was born on January 18, 1958, to Vern and Esther (Meyer) Korth. He attended grade school at Rainy Buttes one-room school and New England, ND. He moved with his family several times in his teenage years. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1977. Dennis joined the US Army in 1980. Serving for three years, he was stationed at Shweinfurt, Germany most of that time.

He moved to Rapid City, SD and then to Sturgis. He eventually ended up working for Lowe Roofing in Whitewood, SD, where he worked for nine years. During that time he met his wife, Katie (Kathryn Jedrykowski-Mahoney).

The couple was married on June 21, 1996, in Sturgis. Dennis and Katie moved to Sioux Falls in 1999. He worked briefly for ASW Roofing, Total Fire Protection and Insulation Enterprises. At the time of his death Dennis was employed by Woods Equipment.

Dennis was an avid NASCAR fan (Go Bobby Labonte!). He was a member of the Moonlight Chariots Van Club for several years. Dennis loved playing cribbage and card games. He also loved the Black Hills for the camping, fishing, hiking and enjoyed the general beauty of the hills. He will be missed by his three Shelties, which he walked and played fetch with daily.

He is survived by his wife, Katie, two step-children, Brendan and Jillian Mahoney, all of Sioux Falls; his parents, Vern and Esther (Meyer) Korth, Dickinson, ND; one sister, Lana Ruff and her husband, Clyde, New Leipzig, ND; his brother, Dean Korth and his wife, Kim (Martin), Dickinson, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 Saturday at Miller West Funeral Chapel, 41st Street and Valley View Road with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Monday at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD.
